The Yamaha R9 brings Yamaha’s CP3 three-cylinder engine into
a focused supersport package, combining strong, characterful performance with a
lightweight Deltabox chassis and aggressive R-series styling. With 119 PS and
93 Nm of torque, the 890cc engine delivers a broad spread of usable power,
while the advanced electronics package helps make the most of it on both road
and track. Add in fully adjustable KYB suspension, Brembo brakes, a six-axis
IMU and a 5-inch TFT display, and the R9 offers an exciting blend of outright
performance, agility and everyday usability. The result is a modern supersport
that brings Yamaha’s distinctive three-cylinder character together with serious
track-focused technology.
